President of RussNeft Becomes Chairman of the Russian Sector of Russian-Algerian Business Committee

President of RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev has become Chairman of the Russian sector of Russian-Algerian Business Committee. This decision was made at the first meeting of the Russian sector of the Committee in Moscow. According to M.Gutseriev, the cooperation between the two states was going to develop practically in all the directions, however oil and gas industry, agriculture, construction, as well as trade and tourism were going to be priority ones. He pointed out that in the nearest future the Business Committee was expected to be in from 5 to 10 joint projects in each of the participating countries.

Oil Company RussNeft OAO is ready to pay $100 million to Yukos for 49% stake at Slovakian Pipeline Company Transpetrol, as RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev told the Oil Information Agency. According to him, this sum is justified as it equals the cost value of the stake at the company.
