RussNeft Allows Possibility of Acquiring Enterprises in Saratov Region
Oil Company RussNeft OAO allows the possibility of acquiring core assets in the Saratov region, President of RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev said to correspondents on Wednesday.
“If any oil and gas companies are offered for sale in the Saratov region I would like to buy them. I mean only those that are sold of free will without enforcement,” he clarified. According to him, RussNeft was ready to participate in bidding for core business in case some companies in the Saratov region were put up for sale as openly as Saratovneftegaz OAO. “RussNeft will be pleased to buy them to consolidate its upstream in the region. In case such offers are made I’ll be glad to participate in the auctions and buy them,” pointed out M.Gutseriev.
As reported earlier in the end of 2005 TNK-BP sold Saratovneftegaz producing nearly 1.6 million tons of crude oil to RussNeft. Oil Company RussNeft OAO is a vertically integrated holding ranked among the ten first-rate oil and gas companies of Russia. Its enterprises are found in Western Siberia, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Ulyanovsk, Penza, Samara, Bryansk, Leningrad, Volgograd, Smolensk, Orenburg regions, Krasnodarsky krai, Republics of Udmurtia and Komi, and in Byelorussia.
