Saratovneftegaz allocated the funds for the repair of the Mechetnoye Cultural center.

Saratov. OAO Saratovneftegaz, OAO NK RussNeft producing subsidiary, donated within its charitable program to the Cultural Center of Mechetnoye village of Sovetsky municipal district of Saratov region.

The allocated funds will be targeted at the much needed reconstruction of the stage as the press-office reports. More than 100 local residents spend their free time in the cultural center while it has been rarely renovated lately. The donation made by the oilmen will help to create more comfortable conditions for the participants of the amateur groups e.g. studios of the applied art, junior theater studios, singing and dancing groups as well as artistic groups of the senior residents, pensioners and the disabled people.
Apart from that OAO Saratovneftegaz also allocated funds to the purchase of the modern furniture for the classes of Mechetnenskaya High School with 123 students and for the kindergarten Cheburashka with more than 50 children. 
Sovetsky district of Saratov region became socially and economically developed in the middle of the 20th century with the large-scope operating activity of OAO Saratovneftegaz during intensive exploration works and development in Zavolzhye. Discovery of Stepnovskoye gas and condensate field in 1954 became a milestone event, Saratov region provided for 10% of gas production in the USSR almost in several years after the start of development
OAO NK RussNeft and its subsidiary OAO Saratovneftegaz which is among the largest donators of the region regularly performs charitable activity in the regions of its operation. Many social sphere objects suffering from the shortage of budget assignations, among them hospitals, cultural centers, educational institutions regularly receive financial donations.
