“Volga rainbow 2014” inter-regional creative school completed its June shift with a great gala concert on the stage of the main building of Rovesnik camp

The first three weeks of the summer in the children health recreation camp Rovesnik were fully dedicated to young talents. The best students from art schools of Rovensky, Lysogorsky, Engelsky and Marksovsky districts gathered here.
That was a traditional present from Saratovneftegaz, the owner of the camp, to continue a long-years program of cooperation between the regional government and Saratov subsidiary of RussNeft, major oil company.
Rich cultural and educational program of the creative school provided for a combination of the regular recreation on the Volga river and active games with rehearsals and lessons for children to develop their talents and skills. Open lessons and master-classes, plain-airs and exhibitions, concerts and excursions – those were agenda items for each day.
To complete the shift, the children made themselves a great music feast under guidance of teachers. The initial intention was to set up a children version of “Fight of choirs”, but this idea was replaced with a vocal/ choreographic marathon of individual and collective achievements.
Multiple soloists and dance bands from various art schools acted consecutively or sometimes together. The gala concert was finalized by all the participants joining into one huge choir which impressed with its power and harmonious polyphony.
It was obvious that during this only shift, the children not only reached harmony in singing and dancing but also became close friends. For a long time they will remember each minute spent together in Rovesnik creative school. One could sense light notes of sadness because of eventual separation behind the brave spirit of the children songs interpreted in choir.
By the way, the seats on the first row were taken by those who make this wonderful children feast possible every year – representatives of the management of the oil company, regional ministry of culture, director of the children art school. The atmosphere in the end of the concert was so carefree, noisy and cheerful that the adults looked like guests invited by children for an hour or so.
