Russneft has won the environmental protection competition in Yugra
The company was recognized as the best in its category for 2020. RussNeft took first place in the competition "The best oil and gas production company in Yugra in the field of environmental protection" in 2020.
The company beat out all competitors in Category II: companies with oil production from 1 million tons to 5 million tons per year.
The competition was timed to the XVIII International Ecological Action "To Save and Preserve". The jury of representatives of federal and regional authorities judged the results. In calculating the results, the jury was guided by pipeline accidents, oil-contaminated lands area, wastes utilization and decontamination, as well as other equally important aspects of the activities.
The scale of the international environmental action can be judged by the number of participants. About 600 thousand inhabitants of the Autonomous District, Russia and of foreign countries took part in the event. Citizens of Egypt, Italy, Germany, Estonia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were among the foreign participants.
