OAO VARIOGANNEFT OPTIMIZES OPERATIONAL EXPENSES

Radyzhny. OAO Varioganneft has completed the operational expenses optimization project viewing development of a number of activities to reduce the expenses and increase the operational efficiency.

The project was implemented in four phases: building a working group out of the candidates, assessment of the potential, development of the activities, planning and introduction of the activities. The project aims at better efficiency of the company’ operations by implementing the proposals from employees.

Alexandr Tropin, Chief engineer of OAO Varioganneft, believes that the project is one of the company’s priorities, since, apart from the costs optimization proposals, it allowed the employees to demonstrate themselves, gain knowledge and skills which will facilitate their further careers and help the company get highly qualified personnel.

“The project allows to implement arising ideas postponed for various reasons – lack of money or time. The project included consideration of both “minor” ideas for short-term economic effects and “mid-scale” programs with a 2-year payback period. Each employee of the company participating in the activities development has gone through all the stages from the analysis, development and substantiation to the practical implementation. Such projects help the grass roots of the company to be more pro-active, increase the operations culture and responsibility of the personnel for their work”, Alexandr Yurievich emphasized.

The pilot project for optimization of the operational expenses is the first step to the continuous process of the costs management. The obtained experience will be definitely used to address optimization issues in various disciplines of the company’s operations.
