Moscow. Within 20 years, the Company expects to produce about 20 million tons of oil considered hard-to-recover.
RussNeft intends to commence commercial development of around 50 million tons of hard-to-recover oil reserves within 5 years.
In 2017, RussNeft plans to start active drilling at Sredne-Shapshinskoye field which is the main resource base of the prospective hard-to-recover reserves.
Development of hard-to-recover reserves will compensate for the reduction of the production rates in the traditional regions of operation of the Company’s subsidiaries. RussNeft has all competence and technologies required for commencement of hard-to-recover reserves active development.
Sredne-Shapshinskoye field is located in Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district.
