Saratov. The annual review competition “The best in profession” has been held in Saratovneftegaz, its subsidiaries and operational divisions.
The main objectives of traditional professional contests are to improve staff qualification, to set up the corporate labor and culture standards, and to study and share cutting edge practices.
Competitions, involving over 70 people, have been held among representatives of 10 major professions: Oil and Gas Production Operator, Loading Operator, Well Workover Crew, Process Pump Operator, Chemical Technician, Oil-Field Equipment Maintenance Man, Electric and Gas Welder, Driver, Instrumentation and Control Equipment Maintenance Man, Electrician.
Along with practical tasks implementation, intended to demonstrate nominee mastery and professional skills, the participants also took tests in theory.
The major assessment criteria were: time and quality of the assignment implementation, zero faults and compliance with health and safety standards.
The incentives for achieving professional excellence are both moral and material, since winners would receive next-year salary increase.
It is noteworthy, that such traditional “labor festal days” take place in all production subsidiaries of RussNeft in order to strengthen creativity potential and self-motivation of the personnel.
