Khanty-Mansiysk. KhMAO-Yugra. OAO NAK Aki-Otyr, subsidiary of RussNeft, carries out its hydrocarbons production program at full speed.
Aki-Otyr continues to look ahead with confidence remaining the most successful subsidiary of RussNeft due to the drilling positive results beyond the expectations. 34 wells will be drilled this year against the 16 wells originally planned.
Besides the positive results of the drilling, the production rate after the pilot multi-stage hydraulic fracking at Verkhne-Shapshinskoye field is one-third greater than expected. This allows the geologists to count on a much greater year production rate than initially planned, Kalikan Osipov, chief geologist of OAO NAK Aki-Otyr says. The holding has already adjusted the business plan of the company from 1,571 thousand tons to 1,658 thousand tons, i.e. the new wells start-up in 2016 was previously expected to add 161 thousand tons of oil, and now this parameter is 224 thousand tons which is 82 thousand tons more.
Four wells are scheduled for multi-stage hydraulic fracking drilling in 2016 at Well Pad 9 of Verkhneshapshinskoye field where the second well is being developed after the multi-stage hydraulic fracking. The same technology under the same scenario and parameters is intended to be tested during drilling of another well pad of that field – Well Pad 12. The well to be drilled in September will be the fifth well with multi-stage hydraulic fracking this year. All those wells are horizontal and drilled to AC 12/3/5 formation.
In parallel to the successful testing of new technologies, the company continues the planned directional drilling which also demonstrates positive results. That drilling takes place at Well Pad 34 in the south of Verkhne-Shapshinskoye field. The start-up production there is over 70 tons per well against the initially planned level of 55 tons per well. Six wells have been put into operation at Well Pad 34 and one more well is being drilled now. The drilling results suggested to increase the overall number of wells to be drilled at Well Pad 34 from 10 to 18. All of them are scheduled for a start-up before the year end. The newly drilled wells are put into operation after the conventional hydraulic fracking with injection of around 100 tons of proppant per well.
Besides the intensive drilling at Well Pad 34, drilling takes place at Well Pad 1BIS and Well Pad 9 of Verkhne-Shapshinskoye field. Well Pad 34 and Well Pad 1BIS are new pads, Well Pad 9 and Well Pad 12 are producing pads with new drilling.
