OAO MPK Aganneftegazgeologia cuts operative expenses of the energy complex of Yeguryakhskoye field
Nizhnevartovsk, KhMAO-Yugra. OAO MPK Aganneftegazgeologia (the subsidiary of RussNeft) has reduced its operative expenses and maintenance costs of gas engine gensets at Yeguryakhskoye field (Nizhnevartovskiy district).
The workers of the power generation division of the enterprise used new line of high-ash engine oils Shell Mysella S5S40 in order to increase effectiveness and to achieve stable operation of APG-type reciprocating engines. Use of the new lubricants enables to increase its life cycle to up to 8 thousand hours, instead of 1,5-2 thousand hours before. The pilot testing of the engine oil has been conducted together with Shell representatives.
Yeguryakhskoye oilfield doesn`t have electric supply from external power grid. Its demand for electric power is covered by 10 gas engine gensets of GE Jenbacher.
The introduction of the new type of lubricants enabled not only to increase time lags between maintenance activities, but also to reduce the quantity of used oil and maintenance downtime of gas engine gensets.
