APRIL. GAGARIN. ROVESNIK

With support of RussNeft the summer season in Children’s Health Center Rovesnik has been started month-and-a-half ahead of schedule. There was festive occasion for that: 55th anniversary of first human flight into the outer space.

“Space marines” have been landed in Rovesnik right on the eve of the celebration, composed of 250 school students of Rovenskiy and Engelsskiy districts, as well as students of the Teacher Education College SGTU named after Yury Gagarin. The name of the first cosmonaut of our planet is very dear to the youngsters, as well as the subject of outer space itself. They dedicate all their leisure time, all their eager interest to the studies of history of circumterrestrial space exploration, active participation in various educational and informational events, issue-related olympiads, contests and quizzes. Gagarin`s fate and fame turned out to be closely connected to Saratov Region. There, having graduated with distinction from industrial college, he got a profession of master in foundry operations. There, in local aeronautical club he, for the first time and forever, in his own words, fell in love with space exploration. There, near the village of Smelovka (by the way, the name of the village speaks for itself – it means “village for the brave ones”) he landed after his unprecedented orbital trip around the Earth.
Juvenile project “We are kids of the Universe”, which have been lasting in Rovesnik for the whole week, was possible only because of the generous support of RussNeft and its Chairman Mikhail Gutseriev himself.  It is worth mentioning that famous Russian businessman and philanthropist always is especially attentive to the projects, aimed at the younger generation. May be this is due to his own sunny, filled with happiness childhood, that do not simply live in memory, but are also mirrored in poetry of Mikhail Safarbekovich:

Scout camp, blood oath of friendship,
Summer concerts – cradles of love.
Bitter grudge – herald of hatred,
Pink childhood, black doves…

Only for the last summer more than 500 children from municipalities of Saratov Region enjoyed gratuitous stay in Rovesnik thanks to RussNeft`s charity. And even economic crisis did not affect such a good deed – under the personal decision of Mikhail Gutseriev the volume of donations to this charity segment in the bitter year of 2016 has been maintained at the same level as in 2015 and amounted to 8.9 mln. rubles.

So the new season and new projects have come…
