Aganneftegazgeologia’s workers participated in the festival of hunters and reindeer herdsmen

Herdsman’s Day, which is the holiday of Yugra indigenous people. The festive events took place in the indigenous Variogan village in Nizhnevartovsk district.
Ethnic sports competitions such as hunting biathlon and reindeer sledding races took place on the Agan riverside on this festive day.  Thematic art exhibitions, folk crafts master classes and authentic community-made products fair have been held.
Aganneftegazgeologia is conducting the development of three licensed areas that include lands of native tribes` traditional use. 52 families of low-numbered peoples of the North live in Roslavlsky, Chuhlorsky and Zapadno-Mogutlorsky areas, pursuing their traditional way of life.
Oil-industry workers and native people’s relationships are based on economic agreements. Today the Company continues preparing and signing documents with the heads of the families, as planned for 2016. According to the agreements signed, the first money transfers for materials, technics, fuel and lubricants which are necessary for life in forest herders` camps, have been made.
Besides, RussNeft’s subsidiaries in Nizhnevartovskiy district actively cooperate with territory social and economic development administration of the local authority. The   area under development includes indigenous Variogan village.  Last year money was allocated for realization of “Social support of Nizhnevartovsk habitants” program. Within the program certain benefit-entitled categories of citizens were given payments. Earlier oil-producing enterprises donated money for material and technical base development of the village secondary school, Olenyonok kindergarten and Variogan ethnographic park-museum. The traditional northern all-round sports competitions were held with the support of the Company.
