Energy efficiency is under way

All subdivisions of the Company without exception are involved in the initiatives of the program. Great emphasis is being placed on reduction of energy consumption for industrial (production) purposes, which amounted to 207 million kilowatt in the last year, or 99.3 % of the total energy consumption of the Company. 
The actions are being undertaken in several directions. If the lamps of the lighting towers are replaced with LED-lamps, the energy consumption will be reduced two-fold.
The Company has allocated half a million rubles for the modification of the lighting system of Aki-Otyr facilities. Economic benefit is expected to be around 600 thousand rubles. However, according to the experts, this effect is only short-term as the installation of energy efficient lighting equipment will require additional expenses. Thus the payback period will be five years. According to the chief power engineer of the Company S.A. Agapov, replacement of incandescent lamp should be completed in the nearest term as the new design solutions for the well pads include only LED lamps.
One of the most important components of the energy efficiency policy of Aki Otyr is pressure pipelining optimization.  Having control over flow rate, it is possible to change the working mode of pump equipment and raise its coefficient of performance, as well as to reduce energy consumption.
Implementation of the energy conservation program also includes the upgrading of the boiler system. Last year the boiling unit of Peschanoye oilfield, which heats dormitory, canteen and number of small industrial facilities of the pump station, was renovated and its fume stack upgraded. This year one of the boiler is to be replaced.
In 2016 Aki-Otyr will allocate 946 thousand rubles for energy efficiency and conservation program. It is expected, that economic benefit for above period would be 4.25 million rubles, i.e. every ruble spent on energy efficiency would save over 4.
