SAFMAR charitable fund donated five ambulances to Udmurtia

Izhevsk. Udmurtia. SAFMAR charitable fund donated five ambulances to the regional healthcare institutions.

The solemn ceremony of the vehicles hand-over was held at the first-aid station in Izhevsk. Alexandr Soloviev, Head of Udmurtia, officials from the healthcare ministry of the republic, directors of municipal healthcare organizations took part in the event.
SAFMAR charitable fund was represented by Yury Fedorov, Director General of PAO Belkamneft, who passed greetings with the remarkable occasion and the coming New Year from Mikhail Gutseriev, the Chairman of the Board of the fund. In particular, Fedorov stressed that “this event is a shining example of successful cooperation between the authorities and business in the interests of Udmurtia people”.
Alexandr Soloviev handed over the keys of the ambulances to the regional healthcare institutions. The vehicles were purchased under the joint charitable program of SAFMAR fund and Udmurtia government.
The ambulances were allocated to healthcare institutions in the most remote areas of Udmurtia: regional hospitals in Kez, Krasnogorsk, Syumsi, Yukamensk and Yar.
Assistance from SAFMAR charitable fund, founded by Mikhail Gutseriev, renowned Russian businessman and benefactor, will help to address a number of high-priority issues such as transport of patients from remote areas to central regional hospitals. It will also significantly reinforce the material base of the rural healthcare institutions in Udmurtia.
Mikhail Gutseriev, businessman and the founder of SAFMAR fund, also provided personal support in implementation of a number of charitable and social projects in Udmurtia. He helped to build Russian Orthodox Church temples, education, healthcare and sport facilities. Thus, since 2004, 1 billion 647 million 534 thousand rubles have been allocated to various social programs in Udmurtia by his companies.
