Saratov. OAO Saratovneftegaz (RussNeft producing subsidiary) implemented Silver Age 2015 project within its charitable program, in cooperation with the regional Ministry of Social Development. The project is attributed to the International Older People’s Day.
More than 100 old people from most of the agricultural districts and the regional center spent a free three-day vacation at Rovesnik health center. The center was built by Saratov oilmen on the beautiful Volga bank in Marx district in 1986. This event which was held this way for the second time, was targeted to support socially disadvantaged people as well as to attract more attention to the veterans and the old people, to promote active long life and healthy lifestyle, to consolidate family traditions and generation ties.
The members of this target charitable social project were accommodated in comfortable rooms in warm buildings, were provided three meals daily, besides, all the necessary conditions were offered so that each person could develop his/her rich artistic potential. The old people shared secrets of different arts and traditional folk art, sang their favorite songs and took part in contests and competitions. The organizers also made a special cultural program for the veterans, popular arts groups from Saratov like Zabava and Kolyadki folk bands performed for them. Special feature of the second day of the project was honoring the couples with more than 50 years of marriage.
Each member of Silver Age project could receive consultations on the legal issues, pension and medical provision as well as on the issues of social support and work.
OAO Saratovneftegaz management and managers of the regional Ministry of Social Development congratulated in person those who significantly contributed to the region’s development and lead active lifestyle despite of their advanced age.
It is worth mentioning that Rovesnik health center is widely known as a cultural center, different regional and interregional events are regularly performed at it, sponsored by RussNeft and its subsidiary Saratovneftegaz. The main members of these events are children from low-income families, orphans and gifted young people like students from local schools in villages and towns, members of city schools of art, students of dance schools, theater schools, schools of painting, vocal studios and local centers of arts. RussNeft allocates around 9 million rubles to organizing summer vacations for the students of Saratov region, OAO Saratovneftegaz reports.
