THE DRILLING GOES AHEAD OF THE SCHEDULE
The beginning of autumn is a special period for the oilmen. The employees of oil and gas industry celebrate their professional day. It is also time to make plans for the future.
Last year appeared to be very difficult for the oil producing industry. But despite of that the oilmen from Ulyanovsk are confident about their future and continue working more actively.
GEOLOGY AND DRILLING
9 new oil producing wells were commissioned, the oil flow amounted to 29 thousand tons. It is planned to launch 4 wells more. It is worth mentioning that the drilling program goes ahead of the schedule. The average amount of construction days makes up 19 instead of 24 that were planned. This is the result of applying the satellite monitoring system.
This is an online system which allows managing the construction process and all the drilling parameters from several working places at a time. It allows decreasing the standbys, minimizing technology violations and deviation from the schedule.
CASING
The oil well has a very complicated engineering design. Its most important element is the casing string. The casing string is cemented in order to have a fixed position. The cement is injected into the space between the casing string and formation.
Cementing of the casing string is one of the most important processes of well drilling. It order to distribute the cement in bore hole annulus the casing string is run down with the stabilizers rigs. A new cementing technology has been also introduced by the engineers and specialists of the drilling company.
Modern technologies will allow longer operations at the fields for a longer period of time. 73 well interventions with additional production output of 29 thousand tons of oil were performed within 8 months of 2015. The major effect was provided by additional perforation of formation as well as by improving the well operation.
34 well interventions are planned by the end of the year which will allow 63 thousand tons of additional output.

One of the strategic targets of the company is formation pressure maintenance. Thus three wells out of 6 planned were transferred under pressure maintenance. The wells of Zapadnoye field that were transferred in 2014 appeared to be efficient by providing 50 tons per day from the neighboring wells.
By means of operating the wells under pressure maintenance the oilmen from Ulyanovsk expect to  restore the formation capacity as well as to stabilize the production from the current well stock.
According to the accounting the increase for ABC1 category reserves amounted to 1,126 mln of geological tons and 409 thousand tons of recoverable tons.
TECHNOLOGY
Average Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) is one of the most important indicators of oilfield equipment. By the end of August 2015 it grew significantly and reached the amount of 529 days (+42 days to the scheduled amount). The result was contributed by the launch of the new equipment like ESP.
ESP unit at well stock 217 at Novobesovskoye field provided the increase of MTTF in 5 times (320 days).
Operations at the wells with sucker-rod pumps were also efficient by means of batching of special agent which does not affect the elastomeric materials. The failures of parted rods were decreased by 7 against the similar period last year.
Two stations of ESP control for the operations at the wells with sucker-rod pumps were improved. The stations allow to perform improvement of operations of the wells with sucker rod pumps without involving of additional staff and equipment.
At the moment energy saving Lufkin beam pumping units are being purchased. One Lufkin has been installed and launched at Well 15 at Kudryashovskoye field. It is planned to purchase 20 beam pumping units by this year.
INFRASTRUCTURE
More than 8 km of oilfield pipelines at Zapadno-Raduzhnoye, Varvarovskoye and Kudryashovshoye fields were reconstructed within 8 months. Overhaul of three tanks for oil storage was completed at Severnaya oil treatment unit and Yuzhnaya oil treatment and pumping unit. At the moment the oilmen actively construct the oil gathering system at Varvarovskoye field and Zapadnaya Preliminary Water Knock-out Unit.
High voltage 10kV 13,770 km line was constructed.
The new high-voltage line connects substation 35/10 kV Krupskaya and pads 1,2,3 of Kudryashovskoye field by establishing independent power network with good capacity.
At the moment the engineers of the company are considering the option of involving the energy servicing partner company with the aim of developing measures to save energy costs.
In 2015 the company received several honorary titles: Best Ecologically Responsible Company of the region as well as Best organization of Work in Health and Safety according to 2014 results.
Oilmen from Ulyanovsk are talented managers. The team of the Company has become the winner of the Regional Cup for Strategy and Management.
The Company has discovered 9 new wells since the start of the year.
