Aganneftegazgeologia discovered a prospective oil reservoir
Nizhnevartovsk. KhMAO-Yugra. OAO MPK Aganneftegazgeologia, a producing subsidiary of RussNeft, discovered a prospective oil deposit at Roslavlskoye field.
Aganneftegazgeologia (subsidiary of RussNeft) implements an exploration program to analyze the mineral resources and increase the recoverable hydrocarbons.
Based on the results of CDP-3D seismic works (common depth point method) and 2013-2014 field season, an exploration well was drilled at Roslavlskoye field penetrating the Jurassic sediments. The depth of 2P well is 3 240 m. The UV1-1 reservoir test showed commercial oil flow rate.
Implementation of the exploration program at the fields developed by the company is one of the priorities of the company’s activities. The company has begun processing and complex interpretation of the data gathered by the CDP-3D seismic method at Zapadno-Mogutlorsky license area. Overall area covered by the seismic works in the 2014-2015 field season was 500 km2. The new data will be used as basis in the prospective exploration agenda for the company’s license areas, according to the press service of OAO MPK ANGG.
