OAO Varioganneft continues implementing the energy saving and efficiency program

The main objective of this program is to reduce fuel and energy resources consumption as well as to increase energy efficiency of oil production and auxiliary operations.
Thus a set of activities was implemented at the fields of Variogan oil block within the program in the first quarter of 2015 to include shutdown of non-commercial well stock with power consumption of 1,584 KW, operation optimization of wells with power consumption of 316 KW and applying 21 KW power factor compensation units.
According to specialists implementing the energy saving and efficiency activities during the previous period of the current year allowed the company to reduce its electrical power consumption by 880.3 thou. KW/h, which will provide saving 2.98 mln rubles by the company.
By the end of the year Varioganneft will continue implementing the key directions of energy-saving and energy efficiency increase programs. In order to achieve the planned factors the Company plans to use the tested and approved energy saving technologies and equipment. The energy saving programs implemented by the company are not only economically efficient, they also contribute to reducing the environmental impact.
