OAO Varioganneft implements a complex of environmental programs at the Variogan oil block fields.

Raduzhny, KhMAO. OAO Variogan, subsidiary of OAO NK RussNeft, implements a complex of environmental programs at the fields of Variogan oil block.

In 2014, over 125 million rubles were allocated for implementation of the programs for oil production environmental safety, environment impact mitigation, ecology control at the facilities of the Variogan block fields.
Conditions of the atmospheric air, soil, water reservoirs and subsoil waters were monitored at all the oil fields of the company during the reported year as per the approved schedule of environmental control. Activities were carried out for reclamation of oil sludge, recovery of sludge pits and reinstatement of soils contaminated with oil.
OAO Varioganneft allocated 31.9 million rubles in 2014 for audits of the industrial safety and equipment examination with the purpose to extend the pipelines operation. 25.1 km of pipelines were also overhauled in the reported year under the environment programs to amount to 69.3 million rubles. Besides, over 24 million rubles were invested into inhibition protection of the oilfield pipelines.
Fulfillment of the environmental management objectives as per ISO 14001:2004 requirements as well as implementation of OAO NK RussNeft programs for enhancement of the ecological conditions at the license areas are the priorities of the environmental activity of OAO Varioganneft.
With a view of preservation of the enabling environment and balanced, ecologically oriented development, Varioganneft intends to continue to implement the environmental programs in the areas of its operation.
