It became possible because former owners of these fields had serious problems with local prosecutors office. Earlier all these fields were part of JSC “Tomskneftegazgeologiya” and were sold in 2003-2004 in order to clear off its tax debts. According to “Russneft’s” representative, “Russneft” will have no problems with its new assets. “We checked the legal purity of the deal and have full rights regarding these oil fields”.
