RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev is the first businessman in Russia whose name will be given to a street. According to “REGIONS.RU/Russia. Regions” agency, such decision has been taken by the administration of the Urus-Martanovsky district of Chechnya initiated by the elders of the village of Goity belonging to this district.
In April 2004 RussNeft and the authorities of the Republic of Chechnya signed a cooperation agreement specifying large-scale support of the company in tackling difficult social problems of Chechnya.
The terms of this agreement provide for construction of a school in Grozny for 540 pupils, as well as some other charitable actions. Basing on this it was decided to name a street of the above-mentioned district after Gutseriev, as was explained at the administration of the Republic.
