The donation to Ulyanovsk Oblast was done by RussNeft, an oil company. The handing-over took place as part of a doling program for social establishments being implemented in the framework of the agreement between Ulyanovsk Oblast and NK RussNeft OAO.
The ceremony of the handing-over the 20 ambulances equipped with the latest medical facilities to regional health committees was held today at Lenin’s Square in Ulyanovsk. The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Ulyanovsk Oblast Sergey Morozov and RussNeft President Mikhail Gutseriev. The head of the oil company assured that RussNeft will continue to take part in social and cultural projects of the Oblast and also to render support in solving most critical social and economic problems. According to Mikhail Gutseriev, he is in full agreement with the Governor Sergey Morozov, who is of the opinion that business must be socially responsible.
“This is the only way to improve the situation in the Oblast and in the country as a whole,” – said RussNeft President. In his speech the Governor Sergey Morozov underlined that there is nothing more important than the human life. He said that 60 percent of the ambulances had exhausted their life time and were subject to replacement. At the same time special medical transport backing of the Oblast is only 72 percent against the standard. Therefore 20 new ambulance cars is a significant aid for Ulyanovsk medical care. “I think that these ambulances will save lives of many people,” – said Sergey Morozov. The Governor also informed that this successful cooperation will continue and by the end of next year the oil men will hand over more ambulances to the Oblast. “We shall donate fifty cars to Ulyanovsk Oblast,” – Mikhail Gutseriev assured Sergey Morozov.
