Crude Oil Extraction in the Ulyanovsk Region to Increase by 30%.

Sergey Morozov was taken around and got acquainted with the functioning of the company. Two years ago three Ulyanovsk enterprises including Ulyanovskneft OAO, SP Nafta- Ulyanovsk ZAO and Nefterazvedka OAO, became part of Russneft. Today the company works in six areas of the Ulyanovsk oblast; they are Nikolaevsky, Novospassky, Melekessky, Cherdaklinsky, Novomalyklinsky and Radischevsky districts. Currently Russneft is implementing its medium-range investment program for 2004-2006 and the five year plan of explorations. The main emphasis in our region will be placed on the all-round development of the area in the Cherdaklinsky district and the first stage explorations in Novospassky and Radischevsky districts. In December 2004 a 14-km pipeline named Novospasskoye-Klin was laid and started up. Thus the company made the first step towards creating modern production infrastructure at its oilfields located in this area.
According to the press-center of the local administration when visiting the company Sergey Morozov paid special attention to investments. Within 2 years Russneft has invested about 2 million rubles in the Ulyanovsk oblast, the means having been spent on engineering improvement which resulted in increase of oil production volumes. If in 2004 Russneft produced more than 600 thousand tons of crude oil, this year the figure will get to 800 thousand and in 2006 - to 1.2 million tons. Thus as compared with the last year in 2005 Russneft will raise its output by one third.
Tax proceeds have also risen, this year they will amount to 1.7 billion rubles. In the order of 50 million rubles have been invested by Russneft into development of the social sphere. This money has been used to buy lodgings for the company’s employees, to provide comfortable trailers for shift workers and various social benefits. Moreover the oil company is actively participating in social and cultural programs implemented in the Ulyanovsk region. It has become possible thanks to the efforts of the local administration and Russneft management. Just to remind that on the 19th of April the Governor Sergey Morozov and  Russneft President Mikhail Gutseriev signed a cooperation agreement in Ulyanovsk. Under this agreement Russneft has already donated 20 ambulance cars to medical institutions of the regions.
