President of RussNeft Elected Chairman of Russian-Algerian Business Committee on the part of RF
President of RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev has been elected Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Committee, informs a correspondent of the Oil Information Agency, or ANI, present at the meeting of the Committee.
After the meeting M.Gutseriev said that he undertook “to create a reliable body and execute from 5 to 10 projects in Algeria and as many in Russia”. He also pointed out that in February 2006 he would arrange a visit to Algeria for all the Russian members of the Committee. And according to him, RussNeft was going to sponsor this trip.
M.Gutseriev also noted that RussNeft was interested in oil and gas projects in Algeria. However he remarked that he assigned himself more global role: “I wish that Algeria and Russia might create a joint capital,” said he. M.Gutseriev also said that before going to Algeria he could hopefully have an informal meeting with all the members to the Russian-Algerian Business Committee.
