Udmurt National Oil Company Buys Zolotaryovsky Plot for RUR120 Million
OOO "Udmurt National Oil Company" being part of RussNeft has got by auction the right to develop the Zolotaryovsky plot found in Udmurtia and the Kirov oblast, the press-center of the Kirov oblast government said in a statement. “RussNeft has made one-time payment amounting to RUR120 million for the right to develop the field against RUR100 million opening hours price,” the statement says.
As was reported earlier, at the auction held on February 9 there were 12 applications including Tatneft OAO , Orenburgneft OAO, and Udmurtneft OAO.
The Zolotaryovsky plot is located on the territories of the Omutninsky district of the Kirov oblast and the Glazovsky district of Udmurtia. The total reserves of the field are 4.486 and 1.432 million tons of C1 and C2 hydrocarbons, respectively.
In 2005 the Zolotaryovsky plot was put up for auction twice. But those auctions were never held because they offered for sale a license area including, apart from the Zolotaryovsky plot, a vast field requiring serious exploration. In both cases only one application was sent in.
