RussNeft to Double Allocations for Krasnodar Region
Oil Company RussNeft OAO and Administration of the Krasnodar region have concluded a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Mikhail Gutseriev, President of RussNeft, and Alexander Tkachov, Governor of the Krasnodar region. The oil company plans to implement in the region various investment projects in oil refining. The document also determines the main principles of interaction between the parties in studying the prospects for exploration and development of new oil and gas fields in the Krasnodar region.
RussNeft undertakes to deliver major oil products required for the local economy and is planning to take part in the federal principal project aimed at all-round development of the fuel and energy complex of the Krasnodar region to be completed in the time period from 2006 to 2009. Just to remind you that in the Krasnodar region there is an oil refinery owned by RussNeft. The company is planning to invest 600 million roubles in its modernization which exceeds the past year investments by more than 25%.
The Company also undertakes to timely effect all the required tax payments in the local budgets and operate the Krasnodar Refinery at full capacity. The scope of tax payments to the local treasury will be doubled against the amount of the past year, the company says in a statement. Moreover, RussNeft and the regional administration have agreed and approved a three year environmental protection programme.
