Moscow. May 19. Interfax-ANI – The antimonopoly authorities of Slovakia approved the sale of 49% stake at Transpetrol, a Slovakian pipeline operator, to Russian company NK RussNeft OAO, Slovakian authorities said in a statement.
As reported earlier, RussNeft signed an agreement with Yukos Finanse B.V., a subsidiary of NK Yukos OAO (РТС: YUKO), on the purchase of 49% stake at Transpetrol to the amount of $103 million.
The oil pipeline network Transpetrol extends to 1032 km with 21 million ton capacity. Transpetrol owns a section of Druzhba oil pipeline extending to 512 km. The Government of Slovakia possesses 51% stake at Transpetrol.
The receipts of Transpetrol in 2005 fell to 1.57 billion Slovak korunas (SKK) from 1.63 billion SKK in 2004 or by 3.7%. The net profit of the company decreased by 13.5%, down to 505.4 million SKK. In 2005 Transpetrol pumped 10.662 million tons of crude oil which was by 2.81% more than the showing of the year 2004.
