Orsknefteorgsintez, a subsidiary of Oil Company RussNeft, has placed in operation its crude and vacuum distillation unit ELOU-AVT-3 after a scheduled overhaul.
The company says in a statement that the major repairs done on the unit were related to the replacement of its heat transfer system.
The new heat transfer diagram reduces the amount of fuel burnt in the heaters and at the same time increases the yield of light fractions. Air-cooled condensers have been installed to replace submersible coolers which allows to opt out of using water and thus to improve the operation and efficiency. The sensors by American company Emerson installed on the unit have improved the accuracy of measurements. Pump monitoring system has also been introduced.
All these measures are expected to improve the quality of the yielded products and reduce the productions costs, the statement says.
