Oil company RussNeft constructed the Cathedral of Saint Matyr and Healer Pantheleimon in Udmurtia. It was consecrated and inaugurated in the region of Karakulinsk. Archbishop of Izhevsk and Udmurtia Nicholay, President of Udmurtia Aleksandr Volkov, President of OAO Oil and Gas Company RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev, outstanding representatives of public, cultural and religious life of the Republic took part in the ceremony.
Construction and reconstruction of churches is an essential part of oil holding social policy. Last July in Izhevsk the Cathedral of Saint Royal Martyrs was inaugurated; it was constructed with RussNeft financial support.
In the capital of Udmurtia under the auspices of the holding the Cathedral of Saint Mikhail is being reconstructed, the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin of Kazan in the village of Belezino, Malo-Diveevskii monastery in the village of Norya in Malopurgunskii region of the Republic are constructed.
RussNeft participates in region’s welfare programmes actively. Under the agreement between the Government of the Udmurtian Republic and RussNeft, Belkamneft allocated 1 bln 618 mln rubles to the budget of the Republic in 2005. Moreover, as part of cooperation with the municipal bodies in areas where the company operates, it spent over 13.5 mln rubles on welfare projects. In cooperation with OAO Oil and Gas Company RussNeft an oil department building of the Udmurt State University is being constructed, school computer classrooms are equipped, emergency cars and modern medical equipment are bought. OAO Belkamneft is the general sponsor of junior sports school Belkammotosport, 850 children go to it.
Mikhail Gutseriev means spiritual renaissance not only by RussNeft large-scale welfare progects.
This April the rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Voctor Sadovnichy and President of RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev signed an agreement on establishing a corporate university Higher School of Innovative Business (Department) Moscow State University. It was not by chance that during the inauguration of the Cathedral of Saint Matyr and Healer Pantheleimon in Udmurtia, while speaking of spirituality Mikhail Gutseriev pointed it out that Russia will rebirth when a young chap from a remote village of Udmurtiacan come to the capital and enter the Moscow University…

OAO Oil and Gas Company RussNeft is a vertically-integrated oil holding and country’s top ten major oil and gas company.
RussNeft comprises 30 producing entities, 3 oil refineries, a transporting entity and a modern distribution network of 300 gasoline filling complexes in 17 Russian regions and CIS.
In all the regions of operation the company performs large-scale welfare social and charity programmes on the basis of Agreements formed with the administration of Federation entities. RussNeft produces hydrocarbons in the Udmurtian Republic via its subsidiaries: OAO Belkamneft, OAO Uralskaya Neft, OAO Udmurt National Oil Company, OAO Udmurt Oil Company. The major one is OAO Belkamneft that provides a third of overall oil production in the Rupublilc.
Joining RussNeft holding in 2004 defined OAO Belkamneft essential dynamics of development. Therefore, annual production for last year exceeded the similar indicator of 2004 by 27% and reached the point of 3 mln 691 thousand tons. However, production planned for this year will amount to about 4 mln tons; it will be holding subsidiary’s record. The increase of production became possible to reach due to massive geological, engineering and drilling operations in OAO Belkamneft fields, new technologies performance and modern equipment.
In 2005 among other large-scale projects, OAO Belkamneft launched the construction of an underwater oil pipeline across the Kama river, which is to connect subsidiary’s upstream assets in the region of Karakulinsk with the oil treatment base Ashit on Bashkir territory. In 2005 OAO Belkamneft spent 527 mln rubles on environmental programmes and other activities. In 2004 341.5 mln tons were spent on these purposes.

Malinovii Zvon is an expression the ancient Russians used to name marvelous sound of church bell-ringing playing; it means with very pleasant mellow timbre. The expression derives from the French name of the town of Malines that has been a European centre of bell-ringing.
