On August, 27 on the threshold of Oil Industry Worker’s Day Saratovneftegas - a major subsoil user - was distinguished by having produced the 1 000 000th ton of oil from the beginning of the year. Today RussNeft’s Saratov subsidiary exceeds the production business target by over 1 200 tons.
This year Saratov oil industry workers plan large-scale development of geologic exploration and drilling; the investments to these areas will be 349 mln rubles. In the beginning of August the drilling of the first well on the territory of Northern Privolzhsk, Engels region was launched; a month ahead of schedule. Handsome funds will be invested into field infrastructure development, main funds reconstruction and workover.
Saratovneftegas’s traditional priorities remain environmental protection and industrial safety. This year Oil and Gas Company RussNeft’s corporate programme embraces the introduction in the Saratov company the international standard ISO 14001 – ‘Environmental Management System’ – and the ‘International Specification System’ OHSAS 18001 ‘Industrial Safety and Health Management System’. The development of a program for system monitoring of the atmosphere, soil, air, ground and open waters, radiation safety on every Saratovneftegas’s facilities.
Over the 7 month the oil industry workers have allocated 284 mln rubles to region’s consolidated budget; it exceeded the target indicators by 5 mln. This year region’s major taxpayer plans to allocate 442 mln rubles to the regional treasury.
5.45 mln rubles are allocated for a year’s programme for staff training. The first contest The Best in the Profession among Oil and Gas Company RussNeft’s employees of Volga and Ural region took place in the beginning of August in Izhevsk. Saratovneftegas’ employees and its service companies brought home gold and silver prizes – two of them were the first, 8 participants were the second.
In April Saratovneftegas and its service companies employees’ basic salary was increased by 10%, extra pay for professionalism and compensatory relieves for work under arduous and harmful labour conditions were also increased. In August the company formed a collective agreement for 2006-2008 which expands some monetary benefits. Corporate social package was highly estimated; this year Saratovneftegas took the first place in the nomination ‘Best Company of Socially Responsible Business’ in the regional contest ‘Collective Agreement, Production Efficiency – the Basis of Citizens’ Socio Labour Rights Protection.’
Upon the cooperation agreement between the regional government and RussNeft’s regional welfare programmes are being developed.The major charity policies are cathedrals construction – in the regions of Ekaterinovsk, Sovetsk, Lysogorsk, Ivanteevsk – workover, equipment acquisition, furniture, cars for bodies of social area – hospitals, kindergardens, schools – welfare assistance for disadvantaged groups and other. From this January to July oil industry workers allocated 35 mln rubles for welfare; socially relevant projects in 14 regions of Saratovneftegas’ operation are funded fully and on scheduled time. In total, RussNeft will allocate over 40 mln rubles to welfare programmes funding in the region.
