28.03.2007 "Mozaika"

On March 28 The Governor of Ulyanovsk Region Sergey Morozov visited the temple under construction.

According to the Head of the region the cathedral is one of the most important objects under construction in the region, that is why he is constantly controlling the process.

The arch-priest of the All Saints Church Father Alexiy Skala reported to the Governor that in the beginning of 2007 the workers started to erect the walls. The target was to reach the height of 1.5 meters by the Easter, but by the present moment this target has already been exceeded.   The walls of the cathedral are expected to reach the height of 11 meters by the end of 2007. Besides, the builders have already started to erect the bell-tower which will be more than 50 meters high.

As far as financing is concerned, the press-service of the Governor and the Administration of Ulyanovsk Region informed us that this problem is being resolved successfully. Thus, the Administration of Ulyanovsk Region and OAO Oil and Gas Company “RussNeft” have recently signed in Moscow an Agreement for Cooperation, and within the frame of this document “RussNeft” is going in 2007 to assign 10 million rubles for construction of Ulyanovsk cathedral.

This sum will suffice to carry the works on up to the end of the year, the Governor said.
