"Udm-Info"
Works on the construction of the submerged crossing in Udmurtia have already started. As it was reported in press-service of ОАО «Belkamneft», the constuctors have already entered upon drilling works near Udmurt village Boyarka, situated in Nizhnekamsky reservoir basin.
It was informed earlier, that the construction of a unique pipeline on technology "pipe-in-pipe" will start in Udmurtia in Kama river-bed. It was also told in "Belkamneft", that investments in project will amount to 350 mln. Rubles, and OAO "Belkamneft" will act as general contractor of the construction. "Neftegazstroy" and "NGS-Tempobur" (Moscow) will also be engaged as contractors.
The length of the pipeline will be about 4 km, the length of the line in channel part, that will be put on the depth of 10 - 16 m under the bottom of the river Kama - 1536 m, diameter of the guard is 530 mm, diameter of kelly is 325 mm. This technology should significantly improve safety level of the object, exclude danger of oil products ingress into the river, and will also make more producing the process of pipeline maintenance. Besides, as it is promised in the oil company, the construction of the pipeline under the river bed using controlled directional drilling will allow to reduce the work period, will not cause changes in navigation of water zone, will not invert natural biological balance. Fish kill, death of plants and microorganisms are excluded; full ecological safety in water conservation zone and cost line is provided.
The project of submerged crossing Vyatka-Ashit on the Kama river has got favourable conclusion of expert committee of the state ecological expertise and was confirmed by the Head of Rostekhnadzor Konstantin Pulikovsky. The construction time of a new pipeline will be 2-3 times shorter in comparison with pipelines, constructed in traditional, "cut-and-cover" method. Old pipeline will be functioning by the time a new one is brought into operation. By the way, the acting segment of the pipeline, put on the bottom of the river Kama, is in operation since 1987.
