Modified bitumen in time
is produced at "Orsknefteorgsintez"
A season of road repair started in Orsk. According to the data from town government, it is planned to invest 83 mln Rubles for this work. The safety of road pavement depends, to a large extent, from the quality of one of its components - bitumen.
In town and region no one, except "Orsknefteorgsintez", produces bitumen. Oil refinery is ready to offload up to 1000 tons of bitumen every day. Last year there was sold 179 thous 436 tons. Bitumen was sent to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bashkiria, Kemerovo. Orenburg Region also needs it. This year it is planned to spend 1700 tons of bitumen for the needs of the region.
With support from "Russneft" ONOS systematically invests in the equipment required for the production of bitumen. There was carried on reconstruction of the equipment, modified the wellhead system, installed additional equipment, etc. Streamlined precure of crude product, oxidizing and compounding of the constituents provide the output of the end product with improved capabilities, which are checked in the Central Laboratory of the Plant.
For the Central Laboratory of the Plant the Company has bought modern equipment, allowing to control the most important factors - fusion point of bitumen, adhesion (bond strength to send), plastic property, solidness, flash point, etc… Bitumen, that was earlier produced, was rated at winter temperature of 15 degrees below zero. New modified grade of bitumen withstands the temperature of 23 degrees below zero. For our region, with its huge temperature swings, this is the most optimal factor. Elasticity of bitumen increased by 30 %, significantly grew extensibility, resiliency, that, by no means, affects the endurance capability of roads. If the specialized road repair crews strictly followed the norms of asphalt laying, the endurance capability of our roads could grow significantly, - consider the bitumen equipment specialists. Though for ONOS bitumen production is not so essential, the plant still plans to improve the quality of the product, which is so needful for the national economy.
