Beautiful goal

Last Saturday the weather was really good for the outdoor sports. And it was absolutely perfect in the recreation camp "Rovestnik", belonging to OAO "Saratovneftegaz": the smell of the fresh-cut grass brightened the country air.
The oil workers saw about the sports places: several well-equiped volleyball and basketball courts, a huge football field, that can be divided into two to hold competitions on mini-football.
Twice a year the Olympics take place on the territory of the recreation camp, and the workers of "Saratovneftegaz" participate in them. In February the contests on table tennis, draughts, chess and ski are held. In May the oil workers compete in mini-football and volleyball.
- "Saratovneftegaz" has a lot of subsidiaries, - says Galina Myasnikova, the chairwoman of the trade committee at "Pravoberezhny utility vehicles department" (a subsidiary of "Saratovneftegaz"), - Competitions on profession skills can be held only between two - three subdivisions, but the sport unites us all. Besides, sport is our health!
- Our enterprise is 60, - says Valentina Pudzyrey, the Head of the united trade committee of OAO "Saratovneftegaz", - during this period there were already held 25 Olympics. All began with competitions of five - six teams. Nowadays we have twelve teams! All workshops, all service outlets try to promote their teams and to participate in the Olympics. The enterprises rent sports halls, so that their workers could train there. We are glad that our workers are of healthy lifestyle orientation. Today more than 360 people came to the Olympics: 216 are the participants of the Olympics and others are the fans. Many of them have taken children, who could have a good walk and become familiar with sports. Lots of children, who once went to the Olympics with their fathers and mothers, are now the workers of the enterprise and they take an active part in competitions. Traditionally the Olympics are held in two stages. In the final we choose the best team, and award them with C cup.
And, of course, the winners of the competition get H cups and good prises. But people from all parts of the Region participate in the Olympics not only to get prises.
- I had a great desire to play, - says Alexander Rebrov,who fought desperately in volleyball for the team of pravoberezhny workshops of "Saratovneftegaz". - I'm preparing for my exams at the moment, but still I'm happy, that I could come here and participate.
- Last year our team tied the score, - says Andrey Dvoryanchikov from ZAO "UPNS & KRS". - And today we hope to win.
- For us the Olympics is just like the Day of the oil worker, - says Vladimir Radchenko, assistant driller, but today he's a forward in the football team of ZAO "UPNS & KRS". Men are mainly playing in the teams. Oil production is for the strong and sturdy men. But in the volleyball teams there were three women still. Tatyana Marjina and Ludmila Shmykova are working in the administrative department of "Saratovneftegaz". Financial Director of OAO "Saratovneftegaz", Vera Tarasove, is also the first on the volleyball court.
Levoberezhny workshops were the best in volleyball, and the C cup remained in the village Stepnoye.

Oil workers support sport not only in the corporate competitions. OAO NK "RussNeft" and OAO "Saratovneftegaz" provide charity support to the youth and child sport. In 2007, for example, with the assistance of the oil workers there were held two multi-region tournaments on kickboxing, and in one of them - Cup of Russia - Saratov sportsmen took the first prise. In the Soviet Region "Saratovneftegaz" sponsored projecting of FOC. And the most entertaining event was Cup of Russia on auto racing, that was held on the Cosmonautics Day, in the very place, where Yury Gagarin landed.
