Oil dehydration
Majority of the oilfields in Udmurtia are mature and are marked by the high percentage of well stream watering. To every ton of oil there's produced 7 - 8 tons of water on a par. Leaders of the oil-producing industry of the Republic of Udmurtia are seeking ways of the solution of a problem in innovative technologies.
On October 14 in Izhevsk there was held a conference «New methods and technologies in the sphere of squeeze jobs», in which OAO "Belkamneft" appeared as initiator and sponsor. During the conference 12 Rusian oil and research-production companies shared experience in the sphere of deposit inundation decrease.
Nikolay Grakhantsev, the Chief Engineer of OAO "Belkamneft", noticed, that the problem of deposit inundation is among cardinal problems in the oil industry. "Today together with the mature oilfields we have those, which are being put in commercial development. But the problem of squeeze jobs or restraint of the produced water is urgent for both types of the oilfields"», – said Mr Grakhantsev.
– The number of really good methods of squeeze jobs isn't large, – noticed Nikolay Grakhantsev, – Those methods of water production restraining, which are used today,don't suffice us anymore. The effect seldom exceeds 50%, besides its duration isn't long».
Today in Russia deposit inundation makes 82,6%. «That is, for every ton of oil there's produced six tons of water, – says Vladimir Griguletsky, the General Director of "Neftemash-Nauka" (Moscow). – Today we exchange ideas, get to know each other's methods of work. I'm interested in every region. In Udmurtia, f.ex. the water-entry problems are really of high priority - here the ratio gained 92%. It's impossible to fully avoid this problem. However, it's possible to lower water intrusion by 50–60%. Thus, expenditures of the oil workers will be reduced by one third». But to obtain a result there'll be required multimillion investments.
– Now it's not easy to draw a conclusion out of the conference, – says Vladimir Knyazev, the Deputy Director General for production of OAO "Belkamneft", – Overall impression – solution to a problem of water cut demands serious investments. The oilfields differ from region to region, thus we cannot tell it for sure, that squeeze jobs will be highly effective for Udmurtia.
He also added that conference is only a first step, after which there'll be held meetings with the research and production companies.
