"Aganneftegasgeologia" is going to pay the native people of the North an indemnity in amount of 1.5 million rubles
Nizhnevartovsk district, Khanty-Mansi autonomous area. In 2009 the multi-profile company "Aganneftegasgeologia" (a subsidiary of OAO NK "RussNeft") is assigning 1 million 450 thousand rubles for indemnity payments to the representatives of native minorities of the North whose tribal lands lie at the territories where the plant is producing oil.
In the first quarter of the current year the joint stock company has already paid the families living the traditional livestyle more than 800 000 rubles. The sphere of industrial interests of the company encompasses the territories of Nizhnevartovsk region where 12 tribal lands are located.
According to the report of the press-service of OAO MPC "Aganneftegasgeologia" to"Uralinformbiuro" , the agreements with the heads of the tribal lands on indemnity payments are not the only form of mutually profitable cooperation. The enterprise renders targeted sponsor and charity support both to the inhabitants of the national village of Variogan and to the families living in the camping-grounds.
In 2006-2008 within the frames of an agreement between the company and the administration of Nizhnevartovsk district "Aganneftegasgeologia" assigned 4 million rubles, which includes assignments for living construction in the national village, recreation of the aborigines' children, national fests. Besides, under the program of charity support the plant allotted financial means for repair of choreographic hall for the national dance group "Jasper" in the village of Variogan.
