The Governor of Saratov Region Pavel Igatov and Acting President of OAO NK "RussNeft" Yacov Itskov held a working meeting.
Saratov. On June 23 the Governor of the Region Pavel Ipatov held a working meeting with the management of OAO NK "RussNeft". The representatives of the Government of Saratov Region at the meeting were Deputy Chairman of the Government of Saratov Region Aleksandr Streliukhin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Saratov Region Alexei Shcherbakov, Minister of Industry and Energy of Saratov Region Aleksandr Nikonov, OAO NK "RussNeft was represented by the Acting President of the Company Yakov Itskov, Vice President for Oil and Gas Production Vladimir Svaikin, and Vladimir Illiasov, General Director of OAO "Saratovneftegas", a subsidiary of the Company.
In the course of the meeting the managers discussed priority trends of cooperation between the parties, aimed at social and economic development of Saratov Region and successful activity of the subsidiary of one of top oil companies OAO NK "RussNeft" - OAO "Saratovneftegas".
Yakov Itskov informed the Head of the Region about the plans of the Company for the year 2009 as well as about the work of the Company and its subsidiaries on implementation of anti-crisis program. The parties also discussed the subtotals of fulfillment of the Agreement on interaction and cooperation between the Government of the Region and OAO NK "RussNeft".
In connection with the events of economic crisis the parties paid special attention to the issues of preservation of jobs at the plants, salary and wage levels of the employees, charitable activities of the Company.
The Acting President of OAO NK "RussNeft" Yakov Itskov pointed out that among the priorities of activity of OAO NK "RussNeft" in the Region one may name implementation of anti-crisis programs, aimed at stabilization of the output level, carrying out of geological and engineering works, support of oilfield infrastructure objects, as well as environment protection.
Summing up the working meeting the Governor of Saratov Region Pavel Ipatov underlined:" Cooperation between the Region and OAO NK "RussNeft" is built on the basis of constructive dialogue and mutually profitable partnership. Our joint work enables us to find the most efficient ways of overcoming negative effects of the crisis, and form up a stable base for implementation of production and charity programs which will have positive influence over development of the Region."
The Acting President of OAO NK "RussNeft" Yakov Itskov said:" This working meeting is one more practical step towards implementation of the plans of development of the key producing asset of the Company in Saratov Region and it demonstrates the Company's and the Region Government's consistent understanding of the strategy of our cooperation. The Company hopes that in future we shall try to remain a reliable partner of the local administartion, provide stable tax payments to the regional budget and support of socal projects of the Region".
