To anniversary celebration of ОАО «Saratovneftegaz». Six decades of labor victories

FIRST FINDINGS
By 1940es in the right bank areas of Saratov Region the Nizhnevolzhsk geological survey group has formed the basis for further development of oil and gas production. In October 1941 the discovery of Yelshanskoye gas deposit initiated the rise of gas industry in the Saratov Region.
In wartimes on the territory of the Region there were discovered 6 gas and oil-and-gas deposits. In extreme conditions the geologists, geophysicists, drill men and constructors solved the problem of supplying the enterprises and power plants of Saratov with fuel.
The high point in the history of oil industry of the Region became the discovery in October 1948 of the first oil deposit - Sokolovogorskoye deposit.

RECORD TIME
In the beginning of 50-es the oil workers of the country were set up a formidable task: to increase oil and gas production by 85% in comparison with 1950, and mainly at the expense of the Ural and the Volga Regions. This objective could be achieved only with efficiency upgrading of prospecting works, technological advancements and discovery of new deposits.
The towering achievement in 1953 became the discovery of the first gas deposit - Stepnovskoye - in the Ural and the Volga region. All in all in 50es in the Saratov Region there were discovered 26 new deposits.
The next decade became for the Saratov oil workers as intense and full of discoveries as the previous one. There were constructed several big entities.

NEW HORIZONS
In 70-80-еs there were carried out at a fast rate works on the development of the Saratov Region. There were equipped and put into operation new deposits, constructed pipelines, built infrastructure facilities.
Large forces of oil workers were concentrated on the territory of Rovensky district. In the shortest possible time there were constructed two oil pipelines and gas flow line in length of 130 km each, there was also provided gas supply to the village Rovnoye. In 1987 there was put in commission gas flow line to Engels in length of 87 km, which allowed to provide gas supply to all inhabited localities along the Volga river, from Rovnoye to Engels.
At the same time there were put into operation Belokamennoye, Tambovskoye, Vasnetsovskoye, Rogozhinskoye, Severo-Vasnetsovskoye and other deposits of the Saratov Region.
In recent decades of the past century the center of prospecting works shifted to Perelyubsky and Ivanteevsky districts, where there were opened 5 oil and gas condensate deposits – Zapadno-Stepnovskoye, Razumovskoye, Yuzhno-Teplovskoye, Pridorozhnoye and Danilovskoye, and one gas condensate deposit - Teplovskoye.

«SARATOVNEFTEGAZ» IN XXI CENTURY
In December 2005 «Saratovneftegaz» entered the structure of Oil and Gas Company «RusNeft» and at the moment is one of the leading extractive enterprises of the Company. It carries out development of 43 oilfields on the territory of 14 districts of the Saratov Region, and also in Staropoltavsky district of the Volgograd Region.
«Saratovneftegaz» is one of the major taxpayers. Total of taxes and other payments of the enterprise in the budgets of all levels in 2008 grew by 39% and made 5,3 billion Rubles as compared to 2007, in consolidated budget of the Saratov Region there was sent about 832 million Rubles.
In 2008 there was discovered new deposit that was callled Luzianinskoye in honopr of Gennady Luzianin, the former General Director of «Saratovneftegaz», who has conducted business for more than two decades.
For 60 years of its activity «Saratovneftegaz» has discovered more than 116 oil and gas deposits, has produced more than 85 million tons of oil and gas condensate, and more than 100 billion CM of gas; it has drilled 6,6 million metres of earth material.
