Oilmen are getting ready for a flood.

A number of measures is being taken to prevent or minimize all possible negative effects of flood.
This year specialists are expecting flood above it’s normal level at many minor rivers in Saratov district. Floods are most probable in 17 districts including Lysogorsky, Atkarsky, Krasnoarmeisky, Prelyubsky and other districts where production and technological facilities of  “Saratovneftegas” are located. The difficulty of the situation is not only in mud-locked roads but also in the possibility of getting of oil products into open water bodies with flood waters.
In “Saratovneftegas” flood commissions have been formed, emergency recovery works departments have been alerted, special preventive measures are being taken. Special attention is paid to check means of protection, fire extinguishing and communication, booms, damming conditions, well head equipment at wells and underwater parts of pipelines. In industrial objects which can be cut from the “mainland” with the flood, resources of food, potable water, fuel and lubricants, tools, spare parts, materials and chemicals have been made. 
A survey from helicopters will be organized to get a clear picture of the condition of technological objects and pipelines during the muddy season.
