OAO "Belkamneft" sponsored traditional snowmobile races combined with the Championship of Russia
Izhevsk. Traditional snowmobile racescombined with Track Snowmobile Championship of Russia and sponsored by OAO "Belkamneft", a subsidiary of NK "RussNeft"took place in the village of Karakulino (Udmurtia).
The races of this year became a jubilee with the oilmen, who have been organizers of this event for 10 years, and it is thanks to them that these races became popular not only in the republiс but beyond it as well. This year more than 40 sportsmen from Izhevsk, Sarapul, Votkinsk, Neftekamsk, Karakulino district, Moscow and Moscow Region took part in the races. The high level of the participants' training, organization of the event and the quality of the track gave the possibility to hold heats of Track Snowmobile Championship of Russia. Vladimir Aleksandrov from Izhevsk became the Champion of Russian Races.
"Sponsoring of sport events is one of the priorities of social policy of "Belkamneft"", -said the General Director of OAO "Belkamneft" Yuri Fiododrov at the ceremony of inauguration of the Championship. - "I'm sure next year snowmobile races will see still more participants and spectators!"
Heat winners received valuable prizes. Besides, the jury annonced winners in the following special nominations: "For Will to Victory" (Gorbunov I.A.), "The Most Aged Participant" (Isenekov A.N., 68 years old) and "For Craftsmenship and Unconventional Design of Homemade Snowmobiles" (Zolotukhin S.V.)
