By the end of the year "RussNeft" is planning to have brought the production up to pre-crisis level

According to the data of  Cetral Control Administration of the Fuel and Energy Comple[ at present the company's daily production is about 35.8 - 35.9 thousand tons of oil. 
In 2008 "RussNeft" produced 14.2 million tons, the the year of crisis, 2009 its production fell down to 12.7 million tons. In the first half of 2010 the company's extent of production amunted to 6.2 million ons of oil.
S.Bakhir underlined that the most difficult problem the company has to face is the disequilibrium of the operation procedure in the upstream block which does not permit to actuate quickly the whole potential of production growth. "In some cases we are ready to intensify drilling works, but we can't do that, for there are no infrastructure necessary to accept, treat and deliver the extra product. And in other cases starting drilling works is a matter of undetermined future - additional exploration is needed there, we must perform a large volume of preparatoty works, connected with engineering, development of the fields, obtaining of approvals", - remarked S. Bakhir. "The back-logs, prepared a few years ago, have been almost completely "eaten up", which is mostly the consequences of the crisis. "In some time we are going to amend the situation. But at present it feels rather uncomfortable to see the very poor results having at the same time a huge potential for dynamic growth of oil production and the induced dealy in implementation of this potential due to lack of projects, approvals and infrastructure" - added Senior Vice-President.

According to S. Bakhir in the current year the company is planning to drill 100 more  wells with rather high flow rate.
At present the company "Aki-Otyr" in Western Siberia having developed Nizhne-Shapshinskoye oilfield started developing Verkhne-Shapshinskoye. The main task of "RussNeft" at Variogan group of oilfields  is to prepare the main resource base of Zapadno-Variogansky and Tagrinsky areas for intensive development. The net effective pay of these areas is more than 60 milion tons, which will permit in future to achieve annual production level of 3 million tons. It is planned to start detailed geological exploration  at Varioganskoye oilfield, one of the oldest one in the company considering the period of operation. The reserves of the oilfield amount to 55 million tons, and annual production at this area must exceed 2 million tons.

By the results of geological exploration at the Nizhnevartovsky block the company couldn't confirm the geological structure of Vostochno-Golevoye, Mokhntikovskoye, Ruslavlskoye and Zapadno-Mogutlorskoye oilfileds. "it is a normal operating situation, there is no need to give a dramatic turn to it, but we had to adjust our production plans and we'll have to gain the missing volums at other facilities", - said S.Bakhir.
The company started implementing the program of bringing production at Tomsk block of companies up to 2 million tons of oil per year. "The extent of production is growing, in autumn intensive construction of infrastructure will be started", - added Senior Vice-President.

The company is planning to start developing new reserves at the Urals, in the Volga region - in Ulianovsk, Saratov and Penza regions - it is planned to have preliminary exploration works completed  before the end of the year, to finish developing the fields, find up-to-date engineering concepts in the field of technology of high viscosity extraction, design, obtaining of approvals, and to start drilling wors. Starting from 2011 the company is planning to intensify search activities at these territories.
