The Ministry of Natural resources and Ecology has prolonged the term of validity of the license of OAO "Saratovneftegas" , a subsidiary of "RussNeft", numbered among the top ten Russian oil companies, for supplementary oil, gas and condensate and associated components supplementary exploration and production within the limits of Zapadno-Stepnoye oilfield in the Saratov region
The license is extended up to December 31 of 2038. Before the term was to expire on December 31, 2013.
OAO "Saratoneftegas" was integrated in the structure of "RussNeft" in December 2005. The company is the main subsoil user of the Saratov region and provides oil and gas production at the territory of 14 districts. "Saratovneftegas" also produces hydrocarbon stock in Staropoltavsky district of the Volgograd region.
