Mikhail Gutseriev, after his visit to Ulianovsk last week, promised to assign 15 million from his personal funds for construction of Ascension Church

Mikhail Gutseriev visited Ulianovsk for the first time in 2006. It was then that thanks to his donation construction of the church in September 12 street  began to move forward. In 2007  Mikhail Gutseriev was accused of exceeding the norms of oil production and default of tax payment which fact forced Gutseriev  to leave Russia and to withdraw his membership in the Board of Directors of “RussNeft”. Three years later all the proceedings against him were terminated.  In the beginning of this year Gutseriev restored control of the company and in May this year returned to Russia/ In spite of the fact that the Ulianovsk oilfields are not numbered among the major ones, it was our region  that he chose to visit first thing. He said it was because of to his deep respect  to Sergei Morozov, one of the best governors in Russia.
The head of “RussNeft” decided to begin his visit with inspection of the Ascension Church. Mikhail Safarbekovich was pleased to see the results of the works. He said that the church looked very neat – “Better than abroad”. To complete the construction it will take another 150-200 million. Gutseriev promised to assign 15 million form his own means. Father Alexiy Skala thanked the businessman and presented him Medal of St. Andrew to express gratitude for  his help in construction of the church.

That day the guest also visited the  play-site and the  sport-site in the center of the city, which were built with financial support from “RussNeft”. Later, during his talks with the governor/ Gutseriev mentioned raising of financing of the company’s charity program. By the way, this year the sum assigned to the region for these purpuses amounted to 15 million rubles. The businessman said it was a funny sum.
Business talks with the head of the region were held successfully. Before the end of the year production of hydrocarbon stock in the Ulianovsk region, according to Mikhail Gutseriev, will have increase by 5% as compared  with the nalogous figures of the last year/ The total extent of oil production will make  581.5 thousand tons of oil and the amount of tax investments will grew up to 257.3 million rubles (in 2009 – 135.5 million).
In any case, the resource base, according to the experts’ opinion, permits to double production.

- It’s a shame to produce less than a million in Ulianovsk, -  Gutseriev pointed out. – I think, in the near three years we shall fulfill this task.
In this connection the amount of investments in 2011 will grew four times and make 1 billion rubles.
