«Varioganneft» has achieved substantial results in horizontal drilling in the West - Variogan license area
Radyzhny, Khanty-Mansiysk, OJSC «Varioganneft» (part of the structure of OJSC «RussNeft») has achieved substantial results on the outcome of the production program of horizontal drilling in the West - Variogan license area. In the current year, according to the approved plan of development drilling of this area, the specialists of «Varioganneft» had planned to enter two new horizontal wells on the well pads № 159A.
At the moment of the first well № 15910 launch, drilled to the object of BV-10 with a horizontal section of 235 meters, it was obtained daily production rate of 230 tons per day. In addition to this the level of water cut did not exceed 2%, it is reported by the press service of the enterprise.
Flow rate of the second well № 15911 at launch moment was 1012 tons of dry crude oil per day. Due to the complex geology of the West-Variogan field, with a view to a detailed discrete velocity layering and clarification of the nature of lay saturation, in the "pilot" hole there was carried out nuclear magnetic logging. Its horizontal section was 456 meters.
Generalizing these results, it was decided to implement the third horizontal drilling of well № 15912, in order to engage into the development of residual oil lay BV-10.
OJSC «Varioganneft» is part of OJSC NK «RussNeft». The company is developing six fields in the Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamal-Nenetsky autonomous districts: Varioganskoye, Novo-Aganskoye, Valyuninskoye, Tagrinskoye, West-Varioganskoye; South-Yaraynerskoye, northern part of the Tagrinskoye field. On 1.01.2010 their recoverable reserves are estimated as more than 200 million tons. The annual production for the company in 2009 was 2 million 286 thousand tons.
