Presents from "Belkamneft" for young sportsmen

Once a year the conference hall of “Belkamneft” is used not for discussing not of the matters of production but oo sportive achievements. This tradition is already ten years old: since 2001 the company has been the sponsor or the children’s sport school.

 

“BelkamMOTOsport” enables hundreds of children in the age from 5 to 155 to go in for motor sport free of charge at all the territories where production sites of “Belkamneft” are located – in Izhevsk, Glazov, Kambarka, Mozhua, Votkinsk,  Yakshur-Bodia, Karakulino and Igra. Every year pupils of the school  - prize winners and champions of different competitions – receive compliments and presents from the management of the company. 

 

This year 18 children received awards from the sponsor. The youngest of them is 7, the eldest 0 15 years old, some of them are just beginners in motosport, and at present have won their first victories at a school championship, others  have already become stars of all-Russian competitions, and have many times won prizes. Of course, from the point of view of a professional  sportsman their prizes are of different value, but at “Belkamneft” both great and small victories are equally valued, for the help children top obtain self-confidence.

 

That is why the atmosphere at the meeting was not official, but friendly: the General Director of “Belkamneft” Yuri Fiododrov, having surveyed the auditory, noted, that those, who had come to the hall to receive prizes many a time already, have grown substantially, and he also met some new “starlets’. Among other things, the children and their sponsors discussed the last “Formula-1” race of the season, by the results of that race Sebastian Fettel, a 23year-old German, became the youngest world champion in the history of Formula – a good model for young moto-racers from Udmurtia.

 

The kids told about their achievements, demonstrated photos from various races: during the current season the pupils of “BelkamMOTOsport” have become prize-winners of the Volga Region Cup, Championship of PFD, Junior Championship of Russia and Championship of Russia for motocross. The motoschoool itself has also made some progress. “This year we have launched two new directions”, - says the director of “BelkamMOTOsport” Elena Shishkina. “These are the club ”Myself and my scooter” and driving school for the young. We have got our own autodrome now and we have the possibility to teach 15-16 years old teenagers for category “B” drivers. Actually, we have created the system of permanent professional education for the children: when they leave school they have  professional skills of driving and car maintenance and after that they can continue studying in a motor transport technical school and specialize in “Technical maintenance and repair”. Practice shows that our leavers can always find their place in this life.” Elena Shishkina stressed that  the progress the school had made was achieved exclusively due to support of “Belkamneft”, and confidence in the long-term partnership  permits both the pupils and the management of “BelkamMOTOsport” make plans for the next year, which will be a jubilee year for the school: to upgrade the machinery and to achieve success not only at the races in Russia, but at European level as well.

 

Yuri Fiodorov, on his side, has also told about achievements of the current year. This year “Belkamneft” has risen oil production up to 11.3 thousand tons per day. “Just imagine: we ship 188 tank cars filled with oil daily”, - he explained to the kids. “And our oil is not only fuel, but also a reliable support for social sphere. The taxes we pay to the budgets of various levels and the assignments to various funds are your teachers’ salaries and your grandmothers’ pensions”.

 

From the moment of integration of “Belkamneft” into the structure of NK “RussNeft” in 2003, the company’s active participation in implementation of the most important social projects at the territory of Udmurtia became its “visiting card”. Sponsorship of  junior sports is only one of many directions of charitable activity of the oil holding. NK “RussNeft” and OAO “Belkamneft” sponsored construction of a Zoo and Saint Michael Church in Izhevsk, the oilmen’s funds helped to build and reconstruct the Holy Royal Martyrs Church in Izhevsk, Saint  Martyr Panteleimon Church in Karakulino, Kazan God’s Mother Icon Church in Balezino, Saint Trinity Church in the village of Valamaz, Seltinsky District.

 

Under the agreement with the Government of the UR in 2010 OAO NK “RussNeft” is planning to assign for implementation of charity projects and social events more than 115 million rubles. And this August during his meeting with the President of Udmurtia Aleksandr Volkov the President of NK “RussNeft” Mikhail Gutseriev  announced about his decision to assign additionally 275 million rubles for completion of construction of  the building of Petroleum Department of the Udmurt State University. Earlier “RussNeft” had already sponsored this project in amount of 150 million rubles. Besides, USD 1 million will be assigned to the republican prenatal center for purchasing of 10 reanimation cars and for minivans will be purchased for the sportsmen of Udmurtia – all that is a personal contribution from Mikhail Gutseriev. The well-known businessman and sponsor personally supervises all the charitable and social work, which at NK “RussNeft” is as important as solution of the basic issues of production.
