Saratov. A pilot educational program of “RussNeft” started in the region
Personnel problems in our country where negative trends at the human resources market are so numerous, from demography to education, are well-known to everybody who deals in any kind of business. Lack of qualified personnel is obvious, especially, when we speak about youth. The company “RussNeft” which has recently been anew headed by Mikhail Gutseriev, has made an important step to resolve this problem – it opened an educational project, joint with the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after Gubkin.
On Monday, on the base of OAO “Saratovneftegas”, a subsidiary of OAO NK “RussNeft” there was open a regional preparation department (RPD) for future University entrants. Thus, “RussNeft” has beforehand started the preparation for generational change at its enterprises – besides of the courses, the mamnagement of the company is planning to compensate college educational costs so that the young specialists, having obtain their diplomas, came to work back to the holding.
30 young men and girls, , pupils pf senior hogh school classes, took part in the first “session” which is being held now in Saratov. They come not only from the Saratov region, but from the Ulianovsk region too. They will be taught by the teachers of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M.Gubkin at the preparation courses the aim of which is to prepare the learners with maximal efficiency for Integrated State Examination. The learers stay at the comfortable sanatory “Neftianik” (“Oilman”) and provided with transport and meals. The management of “Saratovneftegas” took care of their leisure-time – under a a special cultural program offers the teenagers
visits to museums and theatres of Saratov as well as and excursion to an oilfield.
Parents of the future entrants of the RSU of Oil and Gas named after Gubkin heartily thanked the management of “RussNeft” for the opportunity given to their children, the chance to make their first step towards receiving a prospective and competetive job.
Now the young learners are having their classes, but earlier the met the management of “RussNeft” and “Saratovneftegas”.
“ I hope, that in six years, when you graduate from the RSU of Oil and Gas, we shall meet in this hall again, at the ceremony of giving Company’s pass0cards to each of you. Good luck!” - such was the greeting of Deputy General Director for personnel and social matters Andrey Kazbekov, addressed to the boys and girls gathered in the hall.
Oleg Bondar, a professor of the RSU of Oil and Gas also addressed his new students. “To become a good specialist one have to work hard. The level of our University is very high, so be ready to work much and to see great changes in your lives. I wish you success at this difficult way”, he said.
The management of “RussNeft” place great stake at training of the young specialists, which proves that the company plans further creative labor for the good of all the people of Russia.
“Today we are implementing this eduactional initiative together with the RSU of Oil and gas named after Gubkin – “alma mater” of all the Russian oil and gas industry. We decided to train the future professionals in advance, and the scope of the professions we need is rather large: fro subsoil usage and geology to extraction and processing. We want the boys and girls already at the age of 15-16 years to see their future career, to make plans for the future and be ready to replace the present employees of the Company”, - said the Deputy Director of Personnel Department of “RussNeft” Elena Bolshakova to the correspondent of “Vzgliad”.
It is for this purpose that the president of “RussNeft” Mikhail Gutseriev took the decision to set up such courses at the base of the subsidiaries of the company. The leading teachers of the RSU of Oil and Gas will test the young people, to reveal their strong and weak points and consult them on Intagrated State Examination. Thses corses will enable the kids to become more serious, to feel self-dependant and to come close to understanding their ambitions. The Company’s management is certain that in six years they will come back to “RussNeft” as specialists.
Special importance of the like profession-oriented educational programs was approved by the Deputy Minister of Education of the Saratov region Oleg Afonin. He noted that the learners of the courses are offered a unique opportunity to make their careers. “Bringing the unifersity closer to the direct customer is a pronciple of future development of the system of professional education. If we recollect the times of the Soviets, we’ll see that the system of vocational technical training was rather firmly integrated into the economy/ Later, about 20 years ago, the connection was broken. An during the recent 15-20 years the system of professional education has mostly been developing autonomously and was not oriented at business partners”, said O.Afonin to the correspondent of “Vzgliad”. “ One of the main directions is setting up of internal personnel training systems, search for talented teenagers, forming up of the vertical: school – pre-university training – university, and the graduates of the university get the best position in the industry. This is a consistent, civilized procedure. The example of “RussNeft” demonstrate the wish to form up such vertical and I think it very promising”.
