Future of “RussNeft” – in intergenerational continuity

Within  the frames of this project for the children of the employees of subsidiaries of “RussNeft” there will be opened the regional preparation department of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M.Gubkin. Pupils of senior school classes will be taught by the leading teachers of this university. In fact, the main purpose of these courses is to prepare the teenagers for entering this institution.
Mikhail Gutseriev, the president of OAO NK “RussNeft, who has recently returned to head the holding, pays special attention to inter-corporate education and personnel training. Thus, a corporate faculty where young specialists of the company study to obtain Master’s Degrees in three divisions: Geology, Natural Resources Management and Petrochemistry is successfully functioning at the base of Moscow State University. It is worth noting that at the MSU “RussNeft” is not training managers, but experts.  And besides, they will undergo serious practical training at the scientific and research center of the Company.
Besides. Mikhail Gutseriev assigns his personal funds for construction of the building of Petroleum Faculty of the Udmurt State University.
But being of fair opinion that training of young specialists must begin much earlier, the management of “RussNeft” decided to expand the frames of educational program. That is why thirty senior high scyool students from Saratov and Ulianovsk gathered in the conference hall of “Saratovneftegas”, a subsidiary of “RussNeft”. Exited by importance of the moment, the boys and girls listened to warm greetings of the high-ranking guests of the event. And really, there was something to congratulate them with.
Within the frames of implementation of educational program “RussNeft” financed not only preparation courses, but (in case of successful entering the University) the five-year course of studies in the leading educational institution of the country.
 “”RussNeft” is really interested in helping the children standing at the threshold of the adult life not only could make their choice for the future. Entering the best professional university of Russia will enable them to receive exclusive education and gives them the unique chance to build their careers”, underlined the importance of the evebt Deputy Minister of Education of the Saratov Region Oleg Afonin.
Oleg Afonin also reminded that one of the most important factors of development of the modern professional education system is maximal closing-in of educational institutions and their customers – enterprises-employers.
According to the Deputy Minister,   there are several important steps in modernization of professional education: setting up of inter-corporate personnel training systems, search for talented teenagers, orientation towards the best profile educational institutions of the country, building a vertical educational career – as a rule, these are basic schools, system of pre-college preparation, studying at a profile higher educational institution and guaranteed job after graduation.
“RussNeft” gives the possibility to see for oneself the success of building such a vertical.
But let us come back to the present day. The schoolchildren from Saratov and Ulianovsk will have to undergo two eight-day sessions. During the sessions the teachers will reveal the potentials of each of the future entrants and determine their levels of training, the points which could call for special attention etc.
“Saratovneftegas” tried to create for the learners maximal comfort, not only during the studies, but at leizure time too. The children who came from Ulianovsk are staying at the comfortable sanatorium “Neftianik” (“Oilman”). The company provides transport and meals. Besides, the learners are offers an interesting cultural program, including excursion to one of production facilities pf “Saratovneftegas”, a visit to the theatre, getting acquainted with the history of Saratov etc.
“The fact that the regional department was open at the base of our plant”, said Deputy General Director for Personnel and Social Matters of “Saratovneftegas” Andrey Kazbekov, “is not only a great honour, but a great responsibility too. It is a pilot project within the frames of “RussNeft” and further development of this important initiative will depend on its successful implementation.”\
