Moscow. The tasks of development of the company “RussNeft” formed up the basis for educational programs of the main university of the country. In two years qualified specialists ready to manage the most up-to-date technologies of geological exploration, operation drilling, hydrocarbon processing will leave the MSU named after Lomonosov. We must eliminate our falling behind the acknowledged world leaders in this field in this field, says the president of “RussNeft Mikhail Gutseriev.
He proves the topical character of personnel training with the prospective for the future by the words of the President of Russia: “ Modernization is the only way for Russia to enter new technological markets, forming up of the new generation of oilmen, capable to transform the country, to make it a powerful, leading state. We need innovative technologies and this means people who will manage them.”
On the initiative of Mikhail Gutseriev at the MSU there was set up the Graduate School of Innovation Business. This is a faculty corporatate “by birth” , but national by its importance. It will prepare human resources for the whole industry, underlines the president of “RussNeft”, the main objective of the project is support of the education development. As a businessman, oriented not only to modernization of production, but on social partnership too, Gutseriev thinks it exteremely important not to limit the career targets of the graduates by the holding headed by him: “ If they can find better jobs – God help them. I don’t see any reason to tie them to the company. There shouldn’t be any pressure over a person. In any case, these are our people. The main thing is we gave them the professional training”.
The Graduate School of Innovation Business prepares specialists in geology, natural resources management, chemistry. Inter-disciplinary educational programs were devised by the MSU specialists with the active participation of oilmen. This is an know-how which combines traditions of fundamental science with modernisation requirements of the domestic industry.
The first year group counts 20 undergraduates from the enterprises of “RussNeft” located throughout the country. On November 24 the president of the holding came to the main building of the MSU to hand in a student membership card personally to each of the students. “RussNeft” equipped the School of Innovation Business with the latest achievements of scicence: the most up-to date research equipment, visual aids, computeras. The teachers face the most ambitious task: to train elite management perosnnel. But the other faculties will also feel the result of corporate investments. The practice courses, probe-tested at the School will enrich the programs of training future geologists and chemists. Such projects form up the future of university education, says the rector of the MSU Victor Sadovnichy. And he thinks, the experiment will develop in a system. “Of course, now we are in the very beginning of the way. We are making just the first steps, but these are revolutionary steps. Maybe, we’ll see the time when the faculty will have its own building. And it will become the school for training and refresher courses for the specialists of the whole industry.”
