OAO “Saratovneftegas” sponsored documentary television series devoted to 50th anniversary of spaceflight of Gagarin Y.A.
Saratov. OAO “Saratovneftegas”, a subsidiary refining enterprise of OAO NK “RussNeft”, provided financial support to the creators of the documentary series devoted to the 50th anniversary of Y.A.Gagarin spaceflight. Common 4 part television project of State TV and radio broadcasting company “Saratov” and “Nizhnevolzhsk documentary film studio” is performed within the frames of celebration of the Russian Space Year, declared by the President of the RF D.A.Medvedev.
Positioning of the Saratov region as “second homeland” of the first cosmonaut of the Planet is conditioned by space heritage of the region: Yuriy Gagarin studies in Saratov industrial technical school, in Saratov aero club, which became the stepping stone on the way to his ascent to space heights. Completing of the legendary orbital flight – landing of the descent vehicle of spacecraft “Vostok” –also happened in Saratov.
“RussNeft” traditionally is one of the largest taxpayers and charity provider of the region. Social investments of the Company at Saratov region in 2010 amounted to more than 60 million rubles. Almost a third of that sum was allocated to regional charitable programs, which are carried out within the frames of agreement on cooperation between “RussNeft” company and the Government of the region.
Priorities for oil and gas company are the development of children and mass sports, caring for orphans, support for veterans. Significant means oilmen have contributed to the construction and renovation of temples, improvement of the territories, support of social and educational institutions.
