On the eve of Geologist’s Day. Summing up, making plans.
Saratov. It is common knowledge that oil begins with geology. And the geologists are the well-known advance guard of the industry. It is on the pioneers’ work that that the sucsess of oil production depends. And oil production, in its turn, accounts for main budget payments. And this chain has run unbroken for many decades.
V.N.Tsenarev, Deputy Chief Geologist – the head of geological depatment of OAO “Saratovneftegas”: Our main task is replenishment of hydrocarbon resource base. In 2011 the company plans to participate in auctions for acquiring new license areas.
The main concern of the specialists of the Department for Development, headed by L.V. Marakhtanova is the high level of depletion of many Saratov oilfields. But in spite of this fact even today “Saratovneftegas” manages to receive oil and gas natural flows. According to the results of 2010 due to successful work with idle oil wells stock the operating stock increased by more than 30 units. In cooperation with specialists of OAO NK “RussNeft” the company worked out a strategic program of drilling new exploration and production wells for 2012-2013. A propos, the year 2011 has happily begun with significant production increment at the so called “problematic” wells. It is a natural with the people in the Volga region to try to overcome obstacles and find non-standard technical solutions!
Due to a complex of unic new equipment at well No 18 of Vostochno-Suslovskoye oilfield , where the works were hampered by a non-standard, narrow production casing, the daily oil flow rate grew by 14.5 tons. The analogous approach at well No 195 at Sokolovskoye oilfield permitted to increase oil production by 36 ton per day. Introduction of a high efficiency new plant permitted to optimize fluid production at well No 1 of Vostochno-Suslovskoye oilfield and to reach production increment of 28 tons per day, which was impossible with standard equipment.
Exploitation of well No 60 of Belokamennoye oilfield and well No 8 of Generalskoye oilfield was obstructed by leakiness of the production casing, but the oilmen managed to resolve the problem. Introduction of a ESP unit and a packer with cable inlet secured oil production increment at the said wells by 11.4 and 5.1 tons per day respectively. The specialists of OAO “Saratovneftegas” were among the first ones to apply such equipment in the oil industry of the region. The proven experience permits to plan further introduction and application of such equipment at many other wells of the company in 2011.
The specialists of the Subsoil Use Department of OAO “Saratovneftegas” headed by S.P.Apostolov have done great work on elaborate systematization of the license base. Their everyday routine is a scrupulous, painstaking and very often inconspicuous work, but without it hydrocarbons production nowadays is impossible.
OAO NK “RussNeft” and OAO “Saratovneftegas” pay special attention to young specialists training and upgrading. For example, a geologist of Geology department of OAO “Saratovneftegas” N.V.Diakina was sent to undergo Master’s Degree program at the MSU named after Lomonosov. “Fresh blood” as well as fresh oil is also streaming in. In 2010 three graduates of the Saratov State University named after Tchernyshevsky came to work to Ceology Service.
